Question 2nd gen replace cd player with nav system

Apologies if this has been asked already 100 times. If so please just point me to the thread(s).

My wife has a 2010 sport with the CD Player. They obviously sell aftermarket nav units. But is it realistic to try to do that swap out? Looks like it would need all new dash plastic, etc.

Certainly it's realistic. You do need one new trim piece, like is used on the Nav model. It goes from the climate knobs to the upper glove box door and replaces the stock radio. (There's a spot for the passenger airbag light, which you'll have to snap out and transfer over.) You can either order the Honda one or get one of a couple of aftermarket ones. The mount and superstructure behind the trim piece is the same on all Fits, I believe, and fits normal double-DIN radios.

If you order through Crutchfield, they'll generally hook you up with all the necessary bits you need to install.
