US Fit Nav system?

Does this not exist? I see it in foreign fits, but all the US ones don't seem to have it. I hope we have that option. That would kick butt; an econ car w/ nav system. Does anyone know the answer?

Nav's in Japanese market cars are offered a big majority of makes and models unlike the US market cars even though they are offered here in alot more lower scale cars unlike before where it was only seen in mid to high end luxury cars. I highly doubt you will see the NAV kit as an option for the US Fit but even if it was it would easily add another $2k to the cost of the car and im not sure how many buyers would wanna pay $18k+ out the door for a sub-compact even one as good as the Fit.

That sucks. i guess If i want it that bad (not sure if I do yet) I'd have to get a third party one. Even tho that stock radio is generic, it looks pretty neat (have u seen the versa radio! gaddayaamm its oogly), and would be a heartbreak to ripo to make room for a Nav, unless the Nav can be mounted on the dashboard or something.

I just use a handheld pocket PC with built in GPS antenna from Navman here in Australia. Came with the charger for the cig lighter, carry case, all software and the suction cup windscreen mount. These units cost about A$1,000 or less and are easily upgradeable.

You get all the functions of a pocket PC including word, excel, memory card support and MP3 + GPS naviagation for less than the price of any integrated nav units. HP does an iPaq with built in GPS also. That unit has bluetooth and is a GSM phone. Add a SD Wi-Fi memory card to these units and you have Internet access on the move if your into wardriving.

If you already have a PDA with a compact card slot, you can get the Garmin cf Que 1620. I have that in my Dell Axim, and it works wonderfully. It comes with a bean-bag type temp dash mount and a permanent adhesive mount. I got mine through www.gpscity.com. I couldn't shop around much, as I don't live in the U.S. That Costco deal sounds great.
