Opinions On Adding "underseat" Subwoofer + 3 Way Speakers

Honda Fit Sport 2018
I was considering adding this subwoofer(JBL BassPro SL 8") under the passenger's seat,
Amazon Amazon
It appears it will fit and Crutchfield says it's relatively easy to hook up to the existing system. I realize I should get an amp even though Honda says the Sport model outputs 180 watts. I am
also going to replace the stock speakers with 3 way speakers(JBL GTO638 6.5 inch),
Amazon Amazon
Has anybody attempted this particular set up?

The OEM system might be 180watts peak, not RMS. I had speakers hooked up to the OEM headunit, and when you crank it up, they couldn't keep up with the powered sub. It was severely mismatched. Get an amp with those speakers and check out the threads in the ICE section.

make sure theres room, maybe use phone books or something, to measure the space underneath

I tried to shove a Rockford Fosgate PS-8 under seat amp under the front seats, and failed

I've been looking at the Pioneer and Alpine units - in the process of upgrading to a Sony XAV-AX5000 head unit.

Pioneer TS-WH500A Pioneer TS-WH500A

Alpine PWE-S8 Alpine PWE-S8

They are supposed to fit under the front seat in a GE8, not sure about the GK models.

In my build (tinkering) thread, I put a underseat sub in the trunk. Originally I wanted to get rid of the OEM trunk "organizer" and took advantage of the space in the spare tire well.
