Alpine Halo 9 installed look and fit

Someone ask if I can share a photo of the new Alpine halo 9 installed in the fit.
I think it looks good, the alpine grey bezel closely match the fit interior color. Let me know what you think?

Looks nice. Did you manage to use the 2 existing USB ports into that headunit?

unfortunately this unit only has one USB input and one HDMI input. The stock location where the HDMI and USB under the unit is retained to keep the stock look but the USB input in the center console is disabled.

Just to note steering wheel control works and also the bluetooth buttons to answer calls and hang up along with the voice trigger for siri.

I will have to search for an OEM USB adapter to fit with my (eventual) head unit's USB inputs.

I don't really want to hack the OEM panels unless I have to.

You might have to contact the manufacturer of the C500+ for the steering wheel control interface. The Axxess module will interpret signals to common north American headunits like Alpine, Kenwood, Sony....

Does anything (aside from the center console USB) not work with this head unit?

@payluder are you happy with your alpine unit? Would you recommend it?
Sorry for being off topic.

I'm looking for a good stereo and my vote will be on the Alpine.

Now I was trying to gather as much info as possible but most review blogs are junk.
I mean they are hyping and when I've checked out some actual customer reviews the
difference is huge.

Along with my journey in review land I came across a different site. It seems to be the real deal. I mean it harshly criticizes the flaws that each brand has. This has put me on the fence. For example there's a review about Alpine halo9 unit. I was eyeing this headunit.

How bad is that slow startup? Does it take 20s to boot up? What about the value for the money?

Any insights are highly appreciated
