HID Recommendations

I am looking at getting an HID bulb kit for my Fit. I spend an hour on the road in the dark every night and would like to have the road better illuminated for my drive. I know I want a 6K kit and I know I want bi-xeon, but what I don't know is what brand and who to get them from. It seems every time a group buy gets going on here the lights are lost or the vendor status is revoked or something happens. So, anyone who has a kit that fits my criteria let me know what you think about it (your recommendations). The people who are anti HID, please no thread jacking

I would highly recommend you getting your plug and play HID from

HID-Online.com

They offer only the best. I've gotten 2 other kits from them and quality is OEM or better. You can do a retrofit where you get a custom HID projector mounted into the housing of the Fit, but that will cost you as well.

You can check out these places. I've never bought from them before so I don't know their quality or level of customer service.

Hidynamic hella base HID headlight lamp xenon conversion kit
XenonLink.com HID Conversion Kit.
http://www.hidplanet.com/main.html

However I would recommend
suvlights.com but they don't carry plug and play HID kits. They do carry a variety of quality halogen bulbs with reasonable prices and great service.

I've shopped around the internet and on average a decent HID H4 kit low beam will run around $170. Dual Beams H4 are $270. Cheaper ones from Korea or China will run $130-140 with 6 month or no warranty. If you get the high low some kits use halogen as the high and it is not HID. Then there are the H4 where there is a solenoid that moves the shield to create the high/low. But HID are so bright that you won't need high beams that much. And the solenoid has a tendency to not work that great/burns out according to the owner of a shop that installed my HID.

For the greatest light output get 4300K, but 5000 and 6000K is great too.

buy only Japan made kits. And actually a retrofit isnt too much more expensive. Mine is actually turning out cheaper than my plug and play kit.

i've got a couple recommendations for you. I love my bi-xenon kit and have had no problems with it since i installed it. I *think* u live in socal and this is even a better deal for u.

Xenith Xenons - Superior HIDs and Customer Service! Come check us out today, you won't regret it!

they allow local pickup (hacienda heights) and the total runs to about $190 shipped for the bi-xenon kit. I bought my techone hid kit off this seller way back then and have never had a problem with my kit and his customer service is top notch. xenithxenons is his new website and new company which i also recommend cuz it's a great product.

Techone hid kit:

Honda-Tech.com: Miscellaneous and Appearance: TechONE HID Kits

Techone hid kit is what i have on my fit. True bi-xenon kit. There are multiple sellers selling them on honda-tech so just use the search function to find them. I recommend contacting them directly for the best prices. I got mine for $260 shipped. It's been over a year w/ no problems. Here is a small vid of the kit in action.

YouTube - MFactory HID Kit on 2007 Honda Fit

Another great recommendation for hid kit's is this seller off ebay. I have bought 5 KITS and installed them for my friends using this seller and it has NEVER given anybody problems. I even put a set on my mom's camry! lol. I bought both the bi-xenon and single filament's from him.

eBay Motors: H4 Bi-xenon 8000K AUTO HID CONVERSION KIT-FREE SHIPPING (item 130128007852 end time Aug-22-07 23:26:38 PDT)

There is his page. He is based out of socal also so communication with him is excellent.

U can also go the other route and do a retrofit like jdmchris.com said. I personally love my bi-xenon kit and night driving is so much better.

Oh, I can't begin to tell you how much I wish that were true. Unfortunately I live in central Illinois and there is little or no intrest of the import scene around here. That's why I ask about other people's experiences so much because there is no one around here to ask.

Yeah those hidonline guys are quite expensive. I got a 8000k kit from NeverBurnOut for less than half the price, but they are too blue for me.
