That's just the FX35 OEM ring that holds the lens onto the projector.

smeister,
nice job on the retrofitting. are the outpuit pictures taken outside the car or inside?

i guess the fx35 are better than the e46 projectors that im using..here are some of the pics that i have. my car is not a jazz but its 'brother', the honda city..this was done here in the philippines

bmw e46 projectors + 4300K hid = one great light output!

Thanks. Your retrofit looks like a pro job. Very nice. For the cutoff pictures I am sitting and taking the pictures while in the driver's seat.

Yo smeister. I know its already been asked but I'm still a bit confused. Both chrome rings are part of the projector itself? The dog bowl is just used as a back plate behind the projector painted black like the housing? The way I'm looking at it (and from the DIY in the other thread) it looks like the dog bowl forms the outer chrome ring and that its painted in gloss silver. I ask because I looked up a set of FX35 projectors on eBay and they didn't have that larger outer ring your's have, just the center one.

Only the inner chrome ring is from the FX35 projector. The outer chrome ring is the dog bowl and I painted the lip of the dog bowl black so it blends in better with the rest of the headlight.

I just started a blogger. I'll have more detailed info on the retrofit there since a lot of people are asking me more about it. The link to the blogger is in my signature. I hope that helps.
