DIY door sill **need help ><**

i just recently got a honda fit and i want to put some door sill lights..
i read the DIY's and i knoe where the wires go..

but im not sure how to hook up all 4 LED strips..

do i hook up all 8 wires to the fuse box?
from the DIY i saw in https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...ome-light.html
i can see 1 strip of LED hooking up to the 2 slots.. but wht if i want to hook up 4 strips of LED? if each strip splits into - and +... that means there would be 8 wires in total?? like 4x- and 4x+ ?? i seriously dunno wht to do.. do i just stuff 4x- in one slot and 4x+ in the other slot??

You can have 2 wires coming out of the fuse box and daisy chain the led strips with quick wire taps instead of stuffing 8 wires into the harness plug. The main thing to remember is that the ground in the fuse box is switched.

actually both of the prongs are the same thickness, however if u buy an LED, the longer prong is the positive side and the shorter one is the negative. In his case, he has a pre-wired set of led's in which the black wire is the ground and the red wire is the positive.

If you're referring to the harness plug if I remember correctly the bottom left wire is always hot and the upper right is the switched ground. Do double check in that DIY though.

in the DIY.. he didnt mention anything abt switching the ground tho.. in the original picture.. a wire was stuffed in the bottom left corner.. and a wire is stuffed in the top right corner..

In that post it says:
"The green w/ red striped wire in the upper right of the plug is the ground. THAT is the spot that is switched on and off along with your dome light.
The plug in the lower left corner of the switch is an always on power.
"
So red goes to the always on positive and the black goes on the ground.

There are led strips that already have wiring. All that's left is for you to wire it up to the car. Check out oznium.com

Honestly, if you are not good with electronics, get it done profesionally. It's not worth screwing up the car.

PS: why am i labeled as"GD3-L15A"??????

try soldering all of the together and connecting them to one or solder two of the together so only 2 go into the fuse box.

You'll loose some power but it may fit better.
