Need Help!!!! Tried Installying Led In Hvac Not Working!
basically what the title says. I installed some LED's (bought from a local electrical store) and it won't work. I have 4 LED's with 4 resistors and hooked them up. When I tried reinstalling them back into my dash it doesn't work.
I then removed them again, tested it out with a 12V battery charger and they work fine. Now my problem is when I install them back into the car again still nothing. My only guess is did I blow a fuse? and which fuse would it be that is blown?

LED's only work in one way, it's not like a bulb where you can put it in either way. If the positive and negative aren't hooked up properly, it won't turn on. Try reversing the poles on the LED.
BTW where are u trying 2 tap for a power source?

I know LED`s only work in one way, I have everything hooked up properly. I have the + side of the LED hooked up with the resistor to the + wire and the negative to the negative wire.
I tested out the hook up with a 12V battery charger and all the LED`s lite up. Now when I hook up the HVAC cluster/lighting instrument back into the dash, NOTHING! Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks

For the power source I'm using the original harness that connects to the HVAC which originally lite up the old bulb lights. Should I be using a different type of power source?

I finally figured out the problem! I checked the circuit of the harness that lights up the LED's it so happens that the Solid Red wire was the (-) and the Red/Black wire was the (+) causing it not to turn on. Which was odd that the original lighting worked. You would think the The RED solid wire is the (+) and the RED W/ BLACK STRIPE is the (-) ground. Oh well, now it works like a charm!
