from many experiences silver stars dont last very long at all. hids are the only way to go with the fit. save ur money and get hids, if u keep ur lights at stock height than no one will ever flash you if you dont anything over 6000k or 8000k at the max, but ya i will never ever go back to stock halogens, id rather not even drive my car if i didnt have hids at night!

Agreed. Always a tradeoff, bro...brightness comes at the expense of durability. At least with halogen bulbs like them Silverstars and OSRAM Nightbreakers, that is.

Not a fan of HID lighting though because so many people here in my country don't have them aimed properly. If there was some way to import the stock GD Fit HIDs mentioned in the Electronic Service Manual, that'd be great, but otherwise...no thanks.

HIDs are better than halogen. It pays off in the long run. If you get a higher watt bulb you might burn the wire harness. I would do yellow fogs with white HIDs. You’ll be glad you did.

those nightbreakers look bright as hell. One of my friends has a set and output is like double OEM bulbs. He got them in europe. But nokyas last a long time and look great. I dunno about the telescopic HID lasting a long time, as they haven't been out as long. all my other hid kits are 3+ years old. I have another set of bulbs on order for my projectors in the accord.

The fit gets HIDs last.

i recently had both SilverStar Ultra bulbs burn out in my Fit (staggered by link 2 days). They were less than 3mos. old. I contacted Sylvania to let them know I thought this was way to short of a life span. The Cust. Svc. Rep. told me that the SilverStar Ultras have an expected life span of 12mos.

Though they do have a 12mos satisfaction gaurnutee on their products. So by contacting them they are replacing both bulbs. I just have to mail them then email they sent me and the bulbs. While this is nice its a total hassle and I'm thinking of ebaying the new set and looking into the night breakers or a raybrig or polarg set.

my 2cents.

honestly, longest lasting and bang for the buck the nokyas are the way to go. you can get heads and fogs for like 40 bux, any color temp.

I also have had good luck in the past with krypton showoff bulbs

nightbreakers cheap
