The only depo Ive seen are smoked. I want the clear top area. I think I found them on the N1 concepts website finally. Whats the overall opinion on those?

Yeah Im surpised they only make the smoke but ohh well the n1s would be like 130 shipped which is cheap. But I could have sworn that i heard that theyre sometimes brighter on one side then the other or somethin.

ive heard that in a couple of places too, but surely the LEDs can be no brighter one side than the other? must be the existing wiring.

my N1s don't suck....... yet

I'm had them on my car for almost a year now and there's no signs of fading of the red lens. they still look like they did when i got them. LEDs are the same brightness on both sides and very bright, no bad LEDs.

you definitely notice a difference between the replicas and OEM in the way of quality, but it's not a deal breaker. fitment is a little off but it's one of those things where no one is going to notice but you and maybe some people on this site.

the only thing i did was run a bead of RTV silicone sealant between the lens and the housing. mine just weren't sealed.. and not sealed very well. so no matter what replica you get make sure that the lens is sealed! this prevents condensation on the inside and the shorting out of LEDs.

oh i also broke off some tabs and cut some things and sanded around some of the edges to make it fit as best as it possibly could to the car. you can find a thread somewhere on this forum on how to do that.

i believe i have the N1 concept ones (not sure because i bought this used off the classified section, didnt ask either)

my pair has YELLOWED in the clear plastic part. i have tried using polishing it out back to clear. just makes the lens nice and shiny but the yellow tint remains. looking at the plastic from the side, its already pretty deep. ive considered the 3m headlight restorer but i figured it wouldnt work. the sealign job is pretty bad. bothers the sh*t out of me. i really need to change to the DEPO ones.

if i were you, stick with the depo smoked ones, way better quality OR you can just save up for the real deal.

you will be MUCH MORE satisfied knowing you have something that is OEM quality and wont yellow because it is hella UGLY.

that's what i am saying, if you buy the N1 tails new you absolutely need to make sure they are sealed (which they probably won't be)
