HID DIY on GE8?

Has anyone done any HID DIY on GE8? What are some options?

The bloody search won't let you search "HID". It would be nice to get a sticky of some sort.

Yes, I have 6000K HID on both headlights and fog lights. Frankly, they are PnP (plug-N-play). There are 2 types of 9003/H4 HID. One is xenon HID which has only HID for low beam while halogen as high beam on the same base. Another one is bi-xenon. Both high and low beams are HID. However, DRL on the dash board will turn on if you install bi-xenon kit since the kit connect to one side of headligh connector only. So DRL detects as not complete circuit.

The kits come with instruction. It is very simple. You cannot plug in wrong. The headlight HID kit will draw power directly from the battery. The headlight signal will trigger HID controller.

I hope this will help. Please let me know if you need additional info.

The brand I bought is Xentec. Please see link below. You have to shop around to get a good deal with warranty. However, I have not had any problem yet.

Pull the fuse. The fuse for DRL controls only DRL and nothing else.
