Well, I got my set about a week after they came out so I got the first iteration. The performance is good but the cutoff is curved while the d2s is more straight and the step in the d2s is softer. Not to mention the fact that the d2s can use oem bulbs, the mh1 is stuck with rebased on generic chinese bulbs....I'm not disappointed with mine at all...just nit picking.

I'm glad you're having good results with the mini D2S. I may go with FX-Rs in my Fit as much as everyone is going Mini D2S. I'll try to get Matt to become a sponsor on here when I see him at work tomorrow.

Dang! U work with him? For trs? That must be great! I'm actually waiting on a package from Matt for a new wire harness and the botyl glue so o can redo the headlight! I wanted the fxr originally but don't know much about making that happen! Plus I came across a great deal for the d2s's! Couldn't pass on that! But that's what's up man make them a sponsor

Yeah we opened Monday after they moved down from Ohio. It's been insane trying to catch up.

I'll be doing a how-to (or as Matt keeps calling it, a demo) on how to put the FX-R in the Fit housing and how much cutting is required. I haven't decided on shroud yet. I may run the MCR with LEDs instead of CCFLs.

Looking forward to that...I have a set of FX-Rs, morimoto 6k's, and morimoto 35 ballasts collecting dust right now....I just dont want the hassle of another hack job...I cant stand the slightest bit of rotational inaccuracy and hacking isnt real accurate but if I see where someone else lined up the drill holes, maybe I'd be more adventurous.

PS...I never should have moved away from Atlanta!

if you guys somehow figure out how to do a fit specific bracket to include w/ a FX-R kit, that would be something i'd be willing to pay for. i'm confident enough to do a D2S or MH1 kit but fabricating and cutting is beyond my current skill level.

oh...and you should start a thread about retrofitting on TCL. i'm sure those guys would appreciate that since they all share our seething hate for PnP in reflectors.

Or we can just offer in-house full service retrofits.
