Can't wait to see the finished product. I saw a post on hid planet where a honda fit used the same projectors and mounted the ballasts to the back of the headlight. It looked really OEM.

Once I see your finished product I will probably be sold on this type of Retro fit and start saving money to get it done

Just because I'm curious...how much would a fairly tame retrofit be? Bulbs and everything included, nothing else done to the housing itself?

And because I'm even more curious...how much if you were to paint almost the entire housing and shrouds black? (is that even possible)?

 

Not my retrofit. My lights will be black.

 

where did you get a clear shroud?

 

OEM LS shroud is clear if I remember correctly.

 

LS460s of this generation have clear shrouds. Newer LS (pre-LED) have chrome shrouds

 

LED rings finally arrived. These things are RIDICULOUSLY bright.

 

We're going to throw in some Mini D2S projectors this Saturday "for the time being"

Unfortunately not. We're using these projectors for a show car that needs to be finished in a few weeks.

 

Re-doing my retrofit this weekend! Going to FX-R 3.0 with Taffeta White shrouds, flat black reflector bowls, and the new MotoControl harness with a black box instead of the default gold.

 

 

Glad you're doing the TW shroud! I wanted to see this. Might be doing a new set for mine

The black housing looks good. Not sure about the shroud though.
