LS460R Round 2

This retro is going to be even more involved than the last. There's a metal chunk of the projector that I am going to have sandblasted and powdercoated gloss black. The last retro it was still chrome. This will help to hide the guts of the projector and will apparently be the first ever like this (with this area refinished).

Here's the run-down of this retrofit:

LS460 Bi-Xenon Projectors
"Val-60R" MH1 Solenoid Conversion
"Bi-XX" Ultra High-Beam Mod
Powdercoated Front-Half (gloss black)
Modified for D2S bulbs
100mm xB LED White Angel Eyes modified to "horseshoe" shape
STi-R Clear Lens w/ Color Mod
Morimoto 5Five D2S Elite Kit
Gloss Black-Painted Reflector Bowl

Output of my last LS460R retrofit:

I'm going to guess about $1,500 - 2,000.

$1,500-$2,000 is right. Labor is only about 1/4 of that.

Just finished up the retro of your old setup. Other than the RPF1's it's the best mod to date!

And btw, the wiring was a lot easier than anticipated. I just had to get over it and go for it.

Thanks again, Andrew.

Nope, finished it at 4:30 am this morning and now I'm at work. Still have to bring the beam down with the stock adjustment. Pics tonight?

FS: Highly-Modified LS460 Bi-X Projectors

If that thread is any indication (username)... yes apparently.

On an off topic note... I was "dreaming" of doing a HID setup on my Ruckus... taking out the current headlight housing and dumping something that can hold a projector. Hell, I'd stick the projectors straight on the frame if I could (but too bad they need protection from the weather).

Solenoids will be glued on tomorrow so I should be able to knock this retrofit out this weekend.
