embedded headlight marker on the lens
i read somewhere in this forum that there is an imbedded marker on the headlight lenses to easier aim the lights.
when i looked at my headlights i did notice a small circle that is directly in front of the headlights.
i was wondering if everyone can check where your headlight line is in relation to this circle. i find that mine is about 1.5-2 inches below the circle, and about even on both headlights.

The tiny circle is the point you're supposed to measure up to from the ground, when aligning your headlights. In theory, you should have either the driver, or someone weighing as much as the driver, in the seat, when you take this measurement.
Then, with the car 25 feet away from the wall, you should aim the headlights, so that they are aimed 2.1" below the height you measured to the tiny circle.
Of course, all measurements should be done, with the car parked on a level surface, and against a straight wall.

Technically, that small circle on the outside of the lens is known as a 'hot runner', and is where the polycarbonate (clear plastic) is being injected into the lens (making) mold. These 'circles' are on most Honda lenses, both on the front of the auto and the rear lenses, too. Its for lens manufacturing efficiency.
