how to fix scratches in headlights?

depending on what you have laying around. if you have an orbital buffer and some plastx polishing compound, that would be choice #1. second choice on a polishing compound would be a normal auto polish. 3rd choice would be toothpaste. (Don't laugh, it works!) Toothpaste is a very mild polishing compound. If you don't have an orbital buffer, you can get good results, it'll just take more elbow grease and time.

i'd recommend method #1 by EXWRX. I have done it to my headlights before, but i used muscle strength since i don't have an orbital buffer. PlastX works wonders. He's also right w/ the toothpaste, i tried it on my sisters EK and it worked beatufiully!

Our Fit has 200,000 km (124,000 miles). Because we drive on gravel roads, the headlights were so pitted that they looked like they were smeared with mud and the lights were so dim that I was considering buying new headlight assemblies.
Then I read about PlastX at https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...light-wax.html
I was worried that PlastX wasn't sold in Canada, but I found it at Walmart.
Thanks! That stuff works amazingly well. I did one side first and it was much brighter.

No major issues so far except for the pitted headlights. The front brake pads were changed at 145,000 km and the rear drums have only about 10% (!) wear.
Mostly highway driving - but some on pretty rough gravel roads.
Our last Honda got 705,000 km and I hope we can get as much with this one since we always keep a car until it doesn't go anymore. If we ever get another car, it will definitely be a Fit.
