DIY: Meguiar's Headlight Restoration G2000

Meguiar's Perfect Clarity Headlight Restoration Kit (G2000)
$20 @ Target
2-Steps - Amazing results!

Seriously, this stuff is amazing. I've used the 3M Headlight restoration kit on another set of headlights and it worked ok. Only brought the headlights back up to about 90% opacity. Still looked slightly cloudy even after all that sanding. Plus you need a drill. Only plus side is if you're trying to get rid of deep pits from rock chips then you'll go with route.

I've used Meguiar's PlastX to clean up my headlights but it doesn't bring back the glossy shine. It does clean up plastic parts but wouldn't recommend it for restoring headlights, even though it's part of the Meguiar's G3000 headlight restoration kit.

2 Steps. 1. "Sand" headlights with included pad and liquid. 2. Spray this magical stuff that provides a new thick glossy layer over the headlights. Done.

Ok, enough talking. I'll let the photos do the talking. Pics don't really do justice but the headlights look brand new, 100% clear and glossy.

I even used it on my Honda Access Vent Visors that were cloudy. Now they're transparent again and look brand new! I was skeptical to buy the product thinking it sounds too good to be true, but now it's one of my favorite products.

The only reason I was motivated to clean up the car really nicely is because I'm selling it today. I love the Fit. It's practical and reliable. But I've always wanted a Mini Cooper so I think it's time. Just got married last year and won't have kids for another 2-3 years, so it's now or never! Planning on getting an R53 2006 Mini Cooper S (Supercharged) 6-speed.

With that being said, I must now say my farewell Fitfreak. It's been real!
