Rear View Mirror Riser
Rear View Mirror Riser
I was able to purchase a bracket to raise the mirror mount on the windshield of my Tacoma, and was hoping to do the same for my GK5. It's basically an adapter that attaches to the stock windshield mount and the mirror attaches higher on the adapter to allow more forward visibility under the mirror rather than blocking the view for tall people that sit higher in the seat. Is there anything like this available to purchase or 3D print? I searched this topic and apologize if this topic has been addressed and you're all sick of newbs like me. Joined to ask, thank you!

One of my previous cars, perhaps my Toyota Yaris hatchback, had a rear-view mirror with two ball-and-socket joints: one at the window and one at the back of the mirror, with a short arm in between. This allowed the mirror to be shifted up until it was basically sitting right at the top edge of the windshield, allowing maximum space underneath. I'm not that tall (5'10") but much preferred the visibility with the mirror shifted up.
Might be worth an hour at your local scrapyard, if you have one, to see if you can find a different mirror with more built-in flexibility.
