Mystery Part

I took delivery of my Fit last week and there was an extra item in the floorboard that I can't identify. Does this look familiar to anyone?

Where did you find it? Mine's missing.

(It goes between the rearview mirror and the windshield to keep the mirror from vibrating.)

These are (I believe) for preventing the mirror from shacking. As mentioned, It goes between the arm holding the mirror and windshield.

You are awesome! That's it! I just put it back where it belongs!

But now, when I play my MP3's full blast, the mirror doesn't shake. Do you think replacing the piece could have reduced my audio?

lmao, yes it's a sound dampener too.

Just hold your arm out the window and it will be ok.
