Rearview mirror replacement?

Now I've been having this issue for a while and now I'm starting to see an actual crack in my mirror from being down all the time. If I bump my stereo too loud, the rearview mirror will start pointing down rendering it useless. Has anyone had this problem? What did you do to solve it? I'd rather not get something like a wink mirror or an expensive zoom mirror(although right now its the best option)

Just by a stock replacement? I mean just the mirror part, not the mount on the windshield.

that wouldn't solve my problem of the mirror still pointing down when there's loud music

Do you know why it's doing that? Something on the swivel/adjustment i'd assume. Maybe disassemble it and see what's up? You must have pretty decent audio if it does that.

I've been kind of itching to add some audio stuff myself and that's completely out of character for me lol

I've had a system in my fit since day one(2008), and the rear view has always fell right down since day one, I guess fits just weren't meant to have bass, I was contemplating just taking it off, it's not doing anything anyway and it rattles so bad it sounds like my speakers are distorting!
