Question LoJack???

So, Im getting my Fit this week or next at the latest and my parents are making me install LoJack. I see no problem with it since I've seen the benefits. My Moms truck was stolen and they got it back within 6 hours. Pretty awesome.

So, I was just wondering about the average price and about how long it takes to install.

This is going to be my first car and I can already tell Im going to be so overly protective, so im for sure getting it.

and yes, i know about the immobilizer, but there are ways to get around it, and in fact, one guy at my work had to do it to get into a car in our Shop. he lost the key... I work at a Vehicle Dynamics Company who contracts with Honda America.

So yeah, Just pondering???

There are 14 Honda dealerships within a 25 mile radius of Lomita that will do the install. Check with your dealership to see if they install LoJack and how much it would cost.

Or you could ask your Mom how much it cost her to have it installed and how long it took?

She said hers was $400 Because she has a suburban and an outside contract company did it. the dealership didnt have anyone who could do it within a reasonable amount of time (theyre idiots at martin chevy) but for my dads acura it was $200 by the dealer. so im thinking it might be a little cheaper since the car isnt as high end as the RL??

i was thinking about asking the dealer but was hoping to get a general guestimate....

thanks tho!

there is the regular one, and then the one with the early warning. Id pay a little more and get the early warning. It will call 3 phone numbers if the car is started and the detector is not near the car.

mine was $599 for the early warning system and the dealer took off 500 so really it was only $99 the installers called the next day after having my car to set up a install date and time they were on time when they showed up and install took about an hour
