Anyone install a Music Link themselves yet?

My dealer let me buy one for 170.00. I'm going to install it myself this weekend. It looks pretty involved.

Are you serious? I thought you just plug one end to the 12v and the other end to the ipod, and then you're done.

I-Link is easy

Being a Honda Technician, I can honestly say that it's an easy install. Most of the cars charge 1.5hr for install. I usually do them in about 15-30 minutes. One thing that can be bad is that, if you break something, you'll have to buy another piece. As tech, if I break something, I can warranty it. But anyways, have fun.. Oh and one thing, the little rectangular block doesn't really have to go behind the glove box like that. I've found that on the Odyssey it doesn't work, the glove box won't close.

What state do you live in? I would rather pay you to install it than the honda dealership.

I was quoted 240.00 for installtion. Isn't that a little too much?

I finished it and now that I'm done it wasn't too bad. I hate the music link interface though. Unless I'm missing something.

Yeah, the Music Link sucks, badly. It doesn't let you control the iPod in an intelligent way in any shape or form, only supports 6 playlists, etc.

I just bought a Harmon Kardon Drive+play for my Gf's Fit. We're searching for a place to install the display and controller that doesn't involve drilling the dash. If you check out BestBuy, they have the HK D+P for 150$ with a free FM transmitter (the wired kind), which rocks.
