How much space inside stereo area?

Maybe silly, but i'll ask anyway.
Once the scosche bracket comes out,
any chance you could fit a single din head unit
and a small amp inside the dash.

(i'm thinking of sony xm-4s : 8-1/8"W x 1-3/4"H x 8-13/16"D )

Thanks

Im sure if it is the same dimensions as a single din you'll be in the clear.

it is the same height, but significantly larger in width and depth
than a standard single din stereo, that's why i'm asking.
Is there any extra room? like what is depth and width of the cavity,
it would have to be at least 9 inches for it to work.

peace

I'm thinking about getting a new HU with a bluetooth adaptor http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pn...908320,00.html

I'm wondering if there will be room somewhere in the dash (and out of sight) to tuck this guy. Although I can't seem to find the measurements of this adaptor to begin with...

Have you even tried going to Pioneers site to see the specs on that adapter? i'm sure they keep those things on their own site for their designers to review.

EDIT: oops, i noticed that IS the pioneer site, i think you should try looking at the owners manual.

Thanks! This is awesome and exactly what I couldn't get from the Pioneer website.

It looks like the unit is approx 5.7" W, 1" H, 3" D. (the manual lists the dimensions in mm, and I did a rough conversion with Google).

So, now that we have those numbers, does anyone know if there is enough space under the dashboard to hide this thing?
