nothing is beyond my skill. i just want to connect to switched 12v power. i don't want to just start sticking wires in the fuse box unless i have a good idea where to put them and how. instead of being a smart ass, maybe you could have given me an answer and not waste our time being a douche. thanks anyway. anyone one else that can be more helpful?

some of you like to talk in circles without actually getting to the topic at hand. it has nothing to do with skills. i lack the KNOWLEDGE, not the SKILL. with the information that i gave you, 12v switched power connection, you couldn't help me out? it seems you are lacking the skill to be nice enough to fellow fitfreak members to actually help them. when you realize what being a part of society means, go ahead and give me some information, if you can. if you can't/won't help, don't bother responding as it wastes time.

can i stick a wire into the positive side of a fuse? do i stick it into a wire harness? do i splice in to a wire somewhere? i just a simple location and how to. that's all i need so i don't damage equipment.

acc. power. i want it powered the same as the radio. or the socket. maybe i'm mistaken, but isn't that what switched 12v power is? it's not constant. it's on when the ignition is SWITCHED on.

maybe you could try saying something like:

if you want it to be powered all the time, do this.
or
if you want it to come on with your 12v socket do this.

that's how normal people interact. and you're a moderator? do you consider yourself to be helpful being that way?

i just want to have my monitor come on when i turn the ignition to acc.

thanks for your non-help. you may not be a welder, but someone could tell you how to do it. obviously you think this is rocket science no one could possibly understand. when you have difficulty understanding something, have you ever asked for help? i'm sure the answer is a simple one yet you still refuse to give me a decent helpful answer. thanks for wasting my time.

Good info 07FitSportNJ. All that was in the owners manual? I'll have to crack that bad boy open as soon as I get my hands on one.

rage777, you've got to remember that there's more than one way to get 12 volt power. The answer you desire depends on how you want it to act. You can have your monitor on all the time, when you turn your car on, when you turn your stereo on, when you use your left turn signal, and on and on ad nauseum. claymore was just asking for more information so he could give you an appropriate answer.

I had a feeling that that info wasn't readily available without a Haynes manual, or some sort of insider info. Good info though. I'm sure your post will be helpful to a lot of people.
