Leather Interior and Sunroof

really nice seats! the white stripes look great, although i think they make the covers look overdone too much, but im not flaming on your seats, i really love em! sunroof.. what can i say. I would have it already on mine but having a hole drilled into my car is scary! specially with some unexperienced fools that are around working as pro's. You at least had a professional job done bro.

The leather seats are much more comfortable. My back doesn't feel all sweaty and hot as with the stock seats. Honestly I despise cloth car seats so I'm biased.
I wouldn't say that they slide around more than stock, if anything they are softer and comform better to my rear.

i got to say...i really do like what you have done with the seats/roof combo. moonroof does look liek it came from the factory that way. and I do like the seats and the color, but i would have gone with a different shade. How is the consistency of the chairs? the drivers headrest looks a bit different then the passengers...etc?

I was just checking out the Katzkins site over the weekend; I'm glad to see someone local has them and there's a place to install the covers. I was worried I'd be doing this on my own. I'll definitely be getting those seats, as well as the 'butt' warmers.
As for the sliding around, I'm pretty sure you can get suede seating surfaces...just don't spill!

The covers are made to fairly exacting precision. When they are put on they might not be on perfectly straight so some inconsistencies can be scrutinized. In terms of fit it is not as spot on as stock euro leather, but it's close. The leather is uber-soft though, superior to some stock 'leather' sold which is actually vinyl.
In terms of color I also considered a light tan, or just straight up black. I think contrasting colored panels tend to look tacky. I went with the reddish brown because I wanted something that would look custom as it's not a typical stock color.
You can definitely do suede inserts, I considered those as well, but I would have gone with a light tan in that situation. It's not real suede, it's ultra-suede which is synthetic and very stain resisitant. Almost all suede in upholstery and auto interiors is ultra-suede.
We should do a meet up in DC/MD/VA sometime this year.

No the back of the backseat is not completely covered just the tops and headrests. If you look at the back of your seat you will see where it goes from seat material to a felt like material, which is the same stuff as the trunk. This felt like area stays uncovered. This is good, so you can still fold down your seat use it as cargo and not worry about the leather.
I bought the JDM trunk liner which covers this felt area on the back of the seat with a rubber mat. I have another thread on that.

I had the dealer install the Katzkinz black leather and it looks pretty good. The color is a pretty close match to the rest of the interior, and mostly everything is a very snug fit (no pun intended). $1200 installed.
