Leather Interior and Sunroof

totally bitchin'!!!!!!!!! I just bought my wife an '09 Pilot and am still waiting for my Fit, and was lamenting her moonroof and not having one available on the Fit, but I think you have shown me the light, SUNlight! (okay, bad joke) The best part is there is a dealer linked to the sunroof manufacturer about 1/2 mile from my house! I was looking at some of the other cars they have done and they, while not MY style, were absof*&^ingloutely gorgeous! I will have to pay them a visit SOON.

Leather interior...
Just purchased a 2008 Fit Sport Auto in BOM on 6/17/08. I had black leather interior installed thru the dealer and they did a really good job. Color is a very nice match for the interior. It looks awesome with the BOM exterior too.

Yeah- most dealers can. Mine was outsourced to a company that the dealer uses, but they told me they have done them on site at the dealership as well for aftermarket. They were quick-only took about 2 days.
Mine cost about $1400, but I've heard of some getting it done for about $1200. The leather I'm told is better quality than what comes from the factory. It was something I really wanted so it was worth it to me.

Its a personal preference more than anything. Also, with the Mugens, your door panels will still be stock fabric.
With a full leather interior installation, the door panels match the seats which I prefer. Just something to consider. I've seen the Mugen ones tho. They're nice too.

God that shot makes the car look expensive as hell. I need me some window visors.
Honestly the Fit is my first personal car and I really want to keep it forever. Even if I don't ride it anymore in the future, I just want to keep it because my dad got it for me. Leather seats and the sunroof are things I can totally see me doing in the future, as those two are literally the most important features when my dad looks for his own car. :]

We just bought our 08 Fit at a dealership in California. The dealer had someone come out from the Bay Area (Hayward I think he said) and they put a complete black leather finish inside the Fit. The stitching was purple too (to match the Blackberry Pearl color). A very nice job, whoever did it. I paid through the nose for it (dealer installed option $2K) but it's worth every penny. I'll try to get some nice pictures of it and upload. Be kind, its my very first post on the board I'm a newb -- Fit owner for exactly 2 days.

sorry to bump this old thread.
It's great to know that many others have done leather in their Fit's. Looks like Katzkin is a good way to go. I will probably be doing this in the future, and after reading this thread I think doing the sunroof, and the leather at the same time, from the same installer might save me some $$$.
Great thread!
