Leather Interior and Sunroof
Fitfreaks -
I just bought a Fit recently. It was a tough and somewhat unorthodox choice for me since my past 2 cars have been a BMW 323is and a Merc CLK 430. I got sick and tired of the high cost of ownership and I decided I wanted something better for the city.
I wanted/needed Leather interior and a sunroof, so the Fit seemed out, but I discovered that getting them installed aftermarket is neither difficult nor prohibitively expensive. The install of both took 2 days and cost about $2200 (I chose more some additional options on my leather, $2000 is standard)
My interior is made by Katzkins in Tuscany Amaretto with White piping and perforation. The sides, backs of the seats, door panels, and JDM armrest are in colormatched vinyl (which is standard for most cars - 98% people can't tell). The leather carries a 3 year warranty.
Compared to my Benz and BMW - the leather is as nice, and seems better than the stock leather in Toyotas and Hondas. It's ultra soft and makes the seat much less sweaty and hot. The rear seat folds as usual and my JDM luggage mat still velcros/fits perfectly.
The sunroof is made by Hollandia and carries a lifetime warranty. The entire headliner was replaced. (It's a nicer material but they only get a B on the headliner install, it's not completely perfect). The sunroof is one touch, closes automatically when the car turns off. They ran drain tubes down the insides of the A-Pillars.
Both were installed by Sure-Fit in Arlington, VA - They regularly work directly with Honda dealerships.

Check out the pics - I was stunned by how well it turned out. I also had them add a set of Element Map Lights.

Wow, like the brown and black interior combination, I have owned some older Euro cars myself this way in the past.
Neat mods, supposedly we get the Merc B class in the US soon, but I guess you built your own, only with better reiliability and cheaper operating costs.

We have the MB b-class here in Canada. They get really overpriced once you add in a bunch of must have options. Also it comes in a turbo variant which is must have too IMO. Lots of enthusiasts up here have the mindset that it's the poor mans MB and some people only buy them to be able to say they drive a Mercedes.
SUNROOF!!!! Love it!! I still want to do a full ragtop.
Interested in how the roof opens? Tilt and slide? Does it slide into the roof or up and out?
Only problem with the sunroof is you killed the resale of your Fit buy adding the sunroof. If its not a factory option (not dealer installed, theres a difference) it will hurt the resale.
If you plan on keeping the Fit who cares?!!
Love the interior too!! I first heard of Katzkins when I worked at Greenway Dodge. Lots of cars came in and got leather seats.

Thanks for the comments everybody -
- The Sunroof slides inside and is hidden when the sunroof is open. (The new/roof headliner is an inch or so lower than before, since the car has such high ceilings there is not a noticeable change.)
- The Sunroof also can do the rear vent/tilt action
- The Sunroof by itself would have been around $1000
- They also have tilt and slide outward models available that cost less. I imagine they look like the ones on a Mazda RX-8.

Katzkin has patterns for every car that are specific for your car. You tell them exactly what color or material you want for each part. The actual leather is manufactured by katzkin at their factory.
You have 2 options.
1.) You find an installer, you order through them and they order from katzkin. They install it for you. Mine started at $1000. With my options it was $1200.
2.) You order yourself from katzkin and install yourself. This costs about $500 ish. But the install is hard.

No these are the JDM Honda Visors. The regular ones - As far as I know they don't come in different colors. www.jdmland.com is where I got them.
