Warranty issues with deck/alaram

I recently just got my fit and I want to put my old alarm and deck into it. I had a Clifford 50.5x and Alpine 9883 head unit. I mostly looking forward for the remote start and paging system for my alarm and the ipod cable that I can use and control through the deck.

If I were to install these on the car will I no longer have a 'warranty' on the electronics of the car? I tried asking the dealership but he spoke very bad English.

i think every warranty issue can be answered with the same response and that is: if the warranty issue turns out to be a direct result of the non-dealer installed parts, you will get no support warranty-wise.

btw, welcome to the forum fellow bay area fit!

To just warn ya about the Scosche kit...the fitment IS VERY BAD, however the color of it is very dead on with the OEM. If want more in-dept infomation about the Scosche kit, you are more then welcome to ask me or another member "CuteBoi" about it. And if want the Scosche kit take a look at "OMG it fits" by Cuteboi, to get it the control knobs to fit "better."

To give you another options please consider the Metra kit. Although the color is a bit off, the fitment of this kit is great. Unfortunately no one the Bay Area currently have one install in to their fit, but a member here named "Kelsodeez" have the kit shipped in order to to be moded in carbon fiber. So you may want to want for that route as well for "better" fitment or just because of the carbon fiber .

IF you skipped the reading, to petty much sums it all up there isn't just one brand for the din kit, just search "Scosche," "Metra" and "double DIN carbon fiber kit" (Yes the carbon is bolded )

EDIT: If you want you can take a look at my Scoshce kit to judge for yourself

Sorry I almost forgot to answer your question. If you were to install these on the car, you will still have your warranty, UNLESS the dealer CAN prove that these "mods" is the cause of the problems with (in this case) the electronics system.

Sorry once again I do not have the law or the case on the top of my head, but you can find it with a quick search .

Thanks Slimjim for the big reply

Yeah I read around and stuff lately and I seem to like Scosche 's 'domed' look compared to Metra's 'non domed' look. I plan on putting my Alpine 9883 and the scangauge both onto so I'm guessing the Scosche is better for me. Maybe I can take a look at yours and see. Thanks again for the info.
