I tried searching throught the forums for a pretty good while to no avail. I am thinking of purchasing an oem sport stereo for my fit. mine is base model, and stereo doesn't play mp3's.

I was just curious if anyone has upgraded, the base with a sport oem stereo. Wondering, if there were any wiring problems, would it work at all, etc.

I have considered just getting an aftermarket setup and installing aftermarket head unit, but I don't want anything that special. Just would like to play mp3 cd's.

I also like the idea of adding this functionality, to the base, but it still looking stock.

Radios are the same except for MP3 capability. It's a direct plug in. I wish you the best of luck finding one though at a reasonable price. Going aftermarket will be cheaper and give you alot better sound though.
