JDM ITR Seats fit in a Fit?
#21
interested in the air bag light answer.
I installed a seat from a 2004 MINI Cooper so i could get the seat to go back further than the Fit seat and the Mini seat is height adjustable (and heated). I didn't hook up the air bag sensor (there is one in the MINI seat) because the plug wasn't the same. I've also heard that the resistance the aribag control unit expects might be different for Mini and Honda, so I didn't want to take a chance at blowing the bag in the MINI seat. I'd rather just find the right resistor and a spare seat plug to stick in to the Honda main harnesss so the light goes out on the dash (though I'm getting used to it), and forgo the airbag in the seat. Now the seat can go so far back I can't reach the steering wheel or pedals and I'm over 6' tall.

i was thinking about fitting CTR FN2 seats into my car, anyone possibly from the UK have any idea if this would fit on original seat rails and airbag sensor considering its honda also?? this is the equivalent to the FD2 seats...

sorry, r u talking bout the seats i have posted up?? if so, i have not purchased them yet, they come from a CTR FN2 here in the UK, i think they r the equivalent to the FD2 seats.. aj racing were selling a set a while back for like 900$, doubt they still have them lying around...

i doubt they will fit properly,
if they are like the 'DC5 integra' seats, (which i think 3 holes are the same as civic), then you will need to remove the FN2 rails and get a new set of rails specifically for the Jazz.
I had the same problem - i had to get my rails from Japan as i couldn't find any in th UK.
an option is to get someone on this forum to get a set from USA and post to UK.
also, how comes the pics show the seats a purple colour?... are they supposed to be red..?

i was actually hoping that they wud fit on the jazz's original rails, dont want to spend anymore than i do cos the seats r pricy enuf..
going to ask honda today wat they say, im more interested in the side airbags socket, wud it b the same..
as for the purple color, i never actually noticed that, but yea it is more purple than red, weird...

if you look at the jazz seats, i think it will be more work to modify them to fit the type r seats than to buy a new set of rails. i think it would mean destroying the orignal seats for the rails.

well went into honda today, asked bout the side airbag socket, doesnt fit.. asked bout the seats, mite b too wide so wont fit.. they said they never done this kinda thing before, obviously.. i said FN2 seats, an they gave me a confused look, then had to explain CTR seats...
