stock speakers crackling

stock speakers crackling

anyone else having a problem with there stock speakers crackling? since the day i got my fit sport the speakers would crackle after like 30 or so. sould i just replace them with better ones or should i take it back to the dealer and tell them, thay will probly try and tell me i blew them up LOL.

you mean they'd crackle after you turned the volume up past 30? dude i think you did blow them lol.

yea after like mid 30's its been that way since i bought the car

i'm not an audio type of guy, but i think the crackling is telling you that the speakers can't handle volume that high. maybe someone with more knowledge about sound systems or speakers can chime in here..but damn anything above 15 on the stock speakers is already loud to me haha. are you one of those people who like to roll with their windows down and blast music so everyone can (has to) hear it too?

Dont bother replacing them with the same garbage, they really are crap. Cheapest speakers I have ever seen in a car.

your are driving your head unit far far past it's distortion point. the crackling could be a case of an extremely clipped signal. Also if you have the bass bosted you'd be bottoming out the speakers. They are probably damaged by now. so replacing them is a must, but if you like your music thaloud and clearly don't care much about soun qualit as is. just add a small 4 channel amp to your system and some decent speakers.

i have my memphis m class highs from my civic ill throw in there till i get some better ones like some MBQ's i just sold my 1500D amp with a M3 mojo for a 1000$ that thing slammed in my hatch only wired to 4ohms. when i get a in dash DVD navi combo and everything ill start with my audio right now im going to focus on the cosmetics. next up is my CF hood and wing then ill probly move into the car. all of my other cars have been all audio and no looks im gonna do this one the other way around. bumping around is not somthing im looking to do anymore just thought id throw in a little life story there lol
