im gonna start on my sterio now what head unit should i get how many of you have the avic-d3? is it worth the money im looking for an indash dvd navi. nothing that pops out tho.

 

d3 is dated. i just installed the new pioneer avic-f700bt in my fit... looks good, cool new features, etc. Best $600 ive spent.

 

so the avic-f700bt is just about as good for 600?

its better than the d3. The screen resolution is 4x better, the navigation is cleaner, it has USB, SD card slot, ipod controls, bluetooth, and voice controls.

Also, the navigation is flash based, so you dont have to shuffle your DVD nav disk like with the d3.

it doesnt play DVDs, but i dont particulary like watching movies on a 6" screen. You can watch movies from your ipod or SD card if you want.

 

Thats the one I was interested in. Where did you get it for $600?

 

went up in price a bit, but 615 shipped is still not bad:
