I rarely have the cover off so it normally looks just like the factory radio. Since i can control it with the remote even with the cover plate in place there really is no need for me to fill in the opening.

I was commenting on guyatwork37's analogy of finances.

Some might say that about the paint on the hood of your car. But I'm sure they remain silent.

The modification was all the craze in the IASCA sound competition world at one time. The question being: How do you put an aftermarket radio in a car and have the interior remain so stock that you wouldn't know there is a system in the car?

You're mentality is why people can't achieve wealth without thinking they have to make 250k a year.

Personally, I think it's a bit much, but hell, if it works for you sir, enjoy!
I wasnt saying he should go buy a $50k vehicle, I wouldn't either, but I'd get something a bit more substantial than an econobox.

I enjoy cycling and dont really dont drive a whole lot, maybe 12000 miles a year. I found that with the seats folded down I can place my entire bike in the back when driving to cycling events. Besides owning a BMW or Mercedes is nothing but problems, they are plagued with electrical issues. The Hondas Ive owned have proved to be reliable and serve well as transportation.
I admit I do splurge on my bicycles. My 3 main bikes together cost more than the Fit. Even the tires and wheels cost more than the tires and wheels on the Fit

It is substantial. It holds lots of things and gets from point a to point b efficiently. What more substance do you need? I think people forget the main purpose of a car.

Don't forget it'll probably haul the stuff and/or people (90 cubic feet worth) for probably 20 years. bang/$ cost/benefit that's what the fit is about. If you look back through the posts quite a few are actually defending constar. It's HIS car! I repped him.

hinged would be nice, but hell, that's a pretty cool idea, I thought about it when I was installing my new unit. But since I may end up selling my fit in a few years, I kept the stock unit for future usage.

ANd it may be going to my brother's 91 civic, going to have fun trying to install it... since it shouldn't work.
