2 aught or/vs. 4ga. ...yea

So, the place I work at is a semi parts and mechanic shop. Besides airbags and perty sweet mirrors and lighting the only other thing I've found useful for the fit is the wiring that's used. The 2 main cables used that ae umm one strand/single cables are 2 aught and 4ga. wiring. Next is I think 6/14 and I think there's just single 12-18ga. wire.
Anyways, I'm trying to decide what to run, 4ga. or 2 aught for one...maybe 2 amps later down the road for a system that'll be proly 800w max. From what others have done the fits alt. and battery seem to be capable of this power. I was perty much unlimited with my lesabre when it came to power and without a cap With the fit though, I'm thinking of using a cap also. But yea, will the difference between the 2 cables make a difference in power that'll be able to go through really cause I don't think it will really for that low of power.. IF you guys suggest/would opt for the 2aught, would it even fit in the side panels so I could run it back to the hatch area lol. ? It's umm about 5/8" wide I think or just a tad larger. The 4ga, I know would work but the 2/0 is a lil iffy it seems.

edit: 2/0 is $3.9x/ft
4ga. is umm $1.69/ft I think.
prices don't bother me, just be nice to save about $40 if it'd be fine :P

4ga is plenty for that setup. Just be sure to upgrade your factory battery to chssis ground. engine to chassis ground. and if your feeling up to it. Alternator to battery wire all to 4 guage.

Yea, figured that but hey bigger is usually always better. Should have the car wired for an amp then this week possibly and a sub in a month or 2 I guess.
