i haven't got a 2009 fit, i have a 2007 jazz, but i pulled the power wire from inside the cabin through to the engine bay by cutting a metal clothes hanger, bending it straight, hooking it around the wire, sticking it into an existing hole in the firewall, then pulling through from the engine bay. it was pretty tough but well worth it!

why 0 awg? 8, hell, 12 awg will handle anything the stock alternator can put out.

Yikes! 12g would be scary. The only thing I'd be willing to run off a 12q wire would be a 200 watt inverter. Anything else would draw a lot of heat. 8g is fine if you're just doing a small 4 channel amp. I used a 4g for my two amps, and it runs great. In my opinion, 1/0g is freakin huge, and not really necessary for the majority of applications. But if you're pushing a 2000 watt RMS system, then 1/0g you need. But you'll also need to upgrade a number of electrical components under the hood. I'm not an electrical engineer, but 1/0g is just plain huge.

Fairly easy to get to, once the air cleaner is removed. It enters the cabin right where the clutchpedal arm will push on it, it needs to be secured in-board before routing it behind the trunk-release cover.
