has anyone added a 12v power outlet like in the rear of the center console for easy access by people in back seats?

i guess it wouild be easy to tie into the current one ..figure that i usually plug my cell phone into front one and then a portable dvd player into the rear one....would that be too much on the fuse or outlet?

 

typically those cig lighter connectors can handle up to about 10A peak
so it should be ok. radioshack has the female side if you're in need.

i'd put a inverter inline so that you have a 120v outlet for you pc and
stuff... dont run your hairdryer on it. lol

I'm sorry...are you saying that there's a plug waiting behind one of our rear Fit panels for the Element cigarrette lighter like shown on the instructions for the Element?

 

I am saying there is room there to likely install one. Just run wire to the existing outlet in the dash.
