Question Upholstery Info in SF Bay Area?

One of the things I am not real thrilled with are the fabric seats. And that lint-catching door panel.

I have the 09 base model. White.

I'm wondering what is available and if anyone has recommendations. I thinking seat covers. I'm thinking all new upholstery.

I have no idea what is out there, who has it, and what it costs. I did look around a bit to see what kinds of ready-made seat covers there were, and they weren't all that impressive.

I think the ideal would be custom fit covers. Maybe in a leather or even vinyl. Because I am in a rainy area (San Francisco) and my seats are the lighter gray. Over time, that drivers seat will be inundated with wet raincoats, with the bonus of my butt grinding any dirt that might be on the raincoat right into the seat.

Anyone have suggestions? Links to websites or pictures showing products that I can buy ready-made? Or links/websites/pictures showing custom covers made expressly for the 09?

And what about that lint catching panel on the doors? Is there anything that can be done with it?

i am almost in the same boat as you. i am looking for a quality upholstery shop to upholster my rear seats so they match my recaros. my friend knows someone that does A+ work but he specializes in rolls royce restorations and naturally, he is crazy expensive.

Once a good upholsterer has the seat pattern, they can make covers or reupholster with most anything. It's no different than a dress pattern for sewing.

Maybe I'll do some searching online too. But I would like to get recommendations if possible.

How about this place?
http://www.metzelauto.com

Reviews here:
Metzel Auto Upholstery - SOMA - San Francisco, CA

They're practically across the street from SF Honda. So just in case you don't spend enough money at Metzel's, you could scamper over to the Honda shop to get more stuff. LOL!

You should know the material you want to use because that is part of the total cost. I know Wet Okole has waterproof covers.

Thanks so much for the link. I'd seen the hibiscus ones before, but they didn't have all the other options. Now I have to go poke around that neat site at all the colors!!!

Sweet!

The cover has a option for built-in lower back lumbar support too.

I'm assuming the price is for a pair??
