Can I put a pair of bass blockers on the speakers in the front door without messing up the factory tweeters? I know you aren't suppose to use blockers with crossovers but I don't know how Honda implimented their tweeters.

 

um the fit has no crossovers or tweeters in the front door in fact if you have the sport 09 fit you have 2 tweeters in the front dash and 4 speakers 1 in each door so please re-phase your question and the only thing Honda has is an AMP built into the H.U. nothing else hope this helps bro.

 

I have an 08 fit sport and there are definitely tweeters in the doors. They are next to the side view mirrors. There is a tweeter pod molded into the door and sound comes from them. I bought the car new in 08, it was mfg in june of 08. So these aren't aftermarket, if there are tweeters in the dash that I don't know about, then I have four tweeters. (After thinking, I don't know if the speakers in the door are tweeters, but they are small speakers, like 1.5" diameter, that emit only high frequency sounds. So if they are tweeters or not, they are performing the role of tweeters, and my original question is still valid.)

Either way, there is no crossover right?

 

no there are no crossover in a stock fit and if you put in crossovers than you don't need a bass blocker, and the tweeters are wired to the H.U. if stock

 

The 07-08 does have tweeters on the front doors if u bought the sport model.
The tweeters should have a capacitor as a x-over on the tweeters.
