I hit the little tiny button that resets the whole shooting match, right next to the disc eject button on the 3100. I figure it must be the equivalent of restarting a windows based computer, since that is basically what the Pioneer HUs are as I understand it.

Haha! Wow that is funny! I can't believe I didn't suggest that! When something isn't acting how it is supposed to, that's usually the first thing I do. Half the time it takes care of the problem. So are you using the bypass then?

You bet your sweet bippy! I have about six movies in the glove box at all times now LOL And the best part is that with the E-bay bypass relay, I don't need a switch, it just cycles the power on-off-on and that fools the safety. Now if i could just get the audio dialed in so that voices come across as clear as the background sounds and music... Time for an upgrade! LOL

I'm going go thru your notes on this install when I install mine soon. I got the DD adapter, ipod adapter, antenna adapter, the dash kit, and the sirius add-on. Just waiting for these people at "Abe's of Maine" to ship the BT adapter unit I ordered 2 weeks ago. Figure I'll wait till I have everything as to not have disassemble the dash twice, lol. From what you are saying, it sounds good eh ?

Good idea. But don't forget that you need to put your Sirius antenna on the roof of the Fit. Otherwise you'll get horrible reception.

Already ran the antenna. I have a stand alone Sirius receiver connected thru the aux jack already.

I'm contemplating doing this install today it's a bit intimidating. I removed the lower cover so I can access the bolt under radio but I was reading the center part around the radio has 14 clips ! From looking at the kit and all the stuff Crutchfield sent me, I shouldn't need to splice anything, right ? It appears the adapters for power and antenna make it connect using the factory Honda one, is this correct ?

You'll have to give the Sirius adapter power and ground, which can be spliced from off of the main HU harness.

I got my 3100 in today, man, a lot harder than I thought. Part of the difficulty was all those wires to connect to the harness adapter incluiding those extras not currently using. The only thing I'm missing is the video. I have the green wire run thru the console and thru that opening before the E-brake. I need to know what I connect it to and is there an easier way that removing the console ? I was kind of disappointed that in order to connect the ipod, you have to use the from aux connector. I figured it would connect in back like the factory one.
