Only reason would be if it decides to leak. I had a friend whose battery leaked into the tray and onto the frame of their Expedition without them knowing. Did major damage by the time it was discovered. They found it when the power steering quit working. Ate through a hydraulic line.

It's not likely, but it's possible.
