Ghetto Window tinting place.. should i go for it?

About to get my windows tint, the place is prety ghetto. They quoted me about 120bux to get it done. and they said something about it was 2M or 2 meter window tint?

anyone heard of it? i looked at the sticky and didn't see anything on 2 meter or 2m.. and he was like "not 1m.. not 3m, 2m"

let me know if i should get it done here. I am planning on going there tomorrow morning and getting it done

Avoid the crappy place. At least get 3M or Llumar tint!

My friend who owns a tint shop just got 3M ceramic tint. It's pretty trick stuff. $330 on a four door car, but you could EASILY tell the difference between metal-based and ceramic tint as far as heat rejection.

330 bux is kinda steep for me.. i must have had the really cheap kind on my mustang, it was all pealing off and changing colors as it got older.

i thought there was pros and cons to thick and thin tho? like doesn't thick scratch easy?

well.. i'll go do it tomorrow and hopefully i'll have pics of it up. i hope it turns out alright.

I got mine done for $180 for all 9 windows. They used Llumar tint and have a lifetime warranty. I have to go back sometime this year since some how inside my door panels scrapped some of the tint off. All mid-high end tint places give lifetime warranty. Also great to excellent places shave the tint up to the window instead of cutting the tint short leaving a bit visible on the top of the window. And of course no bubbles or very tiny ones at least. Always before you leave a shop take a look at it all around. And ask questions.

If you're not sure then look for another place. Don't go to a store just because they're cheap. If they screw up your window trims you will wish you spent more.
