Plenty enough bass for me, sometimes i have to turn the bass down a bit due to some tracks resulting in thumping too much. I love music but not a hardcore audiophile. Personally i like the sytem and don't see a reason to upgrade.

I agree, the system is very good already! The only thing I would consider changing are the speakers for the treble. There is more than enough bass for me, I only turned it up half way and my mirror shakes :P

ya i agree too the stock system sounds great. i was also toying with the idea of adding some bass ie. basslink or something of the sort but you really dont need it.

I need more bass!!! The system sounds great, but I need more bass. It only goes up to +6 (whereas I need +10).

Does anyone know if there is a sub-out on the sport factory unit? I've been looking at most forums, but I guess not verdict yet...

I would consider myself a bit of an audiophile (I own several bose products, harmon kardon and altec too) and I think this system is great. Nice full sound. Great bass response. I would have liked a little tiny bit more treble for these ear drum percing high notes, but not even worth complaining about.

So how does the Speed Sensitive Volume Control work? Does it really boost the volume when you speed up - lower when you slow down.

I had speed sensitive volume control on my old motorcycle (1986 Suzuki Cavalcade). Worked pretty well, unless there was lots of traffic noise.

Works quite well, and it is adjustable. There are four settings: off, high, med, low. Med is the default, and it seems fine to me.

It simply adjusts the volume down as you slow down and come to a stop.

I'm not a big fan of the system. I like a nice flat sound (EQ wise) and this system sounds a bit muffled. Adjusting the treble and bass doesn't seem to effect the right frequencies, so certain things like cymbals can get a bit too harsh. The speakers don't handle a whole lot of bass either, so I hear certain notes resonating more than others.

I can live with it, but I'll probably update the system soon.

Bass is boomy and muddy, but does not clip. Get's plenty loud.

Treble is a little on the bright side, but with those tweeters, it makes soundstage and imaging better.

But the sound environment of a car is so bad, I don't spend much money at all on a car sound system.

There is a big diff b/t the base and sport stereos. The Sport has 200 watts, 6 spkrs, and Speed sensitive volume, and dsp, plus the equalizer. It sounds its best when playing CDs, radio is okay. Bass is good, you feel it at your knees.
