I dont think thats true with the stock HU. Upgrade speakers first, then HU. But of course its a sound SYSTEM so everything should be upgraded. The difference in output from the stock system won't be much, its probably putting out like 15w RMS vs a aftermarket deck putting out between 13w-22w RMS depending on which one you get.

Also, which door speakers and such would you guys recommend? Not satisfied with the stockers...
From my understanding I dont believe LOC have great sound quality, they're just resistors that filter out certain frequencies. You have no ability to change gains or outputs. It's also a mono source as it taps just one channel and filters so you can see the limitations as well. Also to keep in mind the RE-Q and 360 are designed to work with the OEM systems as the newer OEM systems limit bass output. They do so so that when you crank it up the bass doesn't damage the stock paper speakers. The REQ and 360 add bass as you crank it up.

6.5" is the stock size. Just be aware of mounting depths, Honda's are shallow.

Sounds like you're pretty set on the Double-Din. Just droppin the knowledge for future readers
