With a 3rd party headunit, how do you enter the secret code after battery disconnect?

I have a 2010 Fit and the salesperson said that if I ever disconnect the battery or if it dies, the next time I try to start the car it will give me an error. I then have to input a secret 5 digit code comprised of the six present buttons (they go from 1 to 6) to unlock the car so that I can drive it again.

With a 3rd party headunit is this no longer going to be possible?

You'll be able to start the car and drive it no problem. The code is just a theft deterrent feature for the factory audio system.

So yeah, with an aftermarket head unit, no need for a code.

As the above said this code is only for the radio and not the entire car.

Ohhhh.... gotcha. So it doesn't prevent you from starting the car, only the head unit?

And it's completely moot for an aftermarket HU.
