The installation instructions say:

"The ambient lights are only operational when the
headlight switch is in the “OFF” position."

Does this mean that you can only have the ambient lights *on* when the headlights are *off*?

Seems odd to me.

 

No they work all the time. I bought them from college hills honda and did the install myself. If you follow the DIY instructions you will be fine. It is a pretty easy install. They work on all headlight settings. They also come on with the lights when you open or close the car door.

 

Is this for the GD or the GE.

My JDM Footlights are always on when the "lights" are on, but dimmer than when I unlockl the car and the interior lights come on.

Does that make sense what i just said...seems choppy

 

how come I had mine installed by the dealer and it does not turn on when the door is open.
the only time when its on is when the headlights are on
well, I am in Canada, could this be 2 different kits?

 

GE or GD? I think the GE kit is different from the GD kit

 

Here's how my GE kit works:

ON: Ambient light switch on AND headlights on.
OFF: Ambient light switch off OR headlights off.

Doors don't have anything to do with it.
