Awesome work, yet again.

Quick question, though. With the amount of work you put into the door, is there any reason you don't use any MLV to finish the door up/block more sound? It's my understanding that MLV is the most important layer as far as sound blockage goes. Regardless, great work. This will be extremely useful when I decide to take the plunge.

Honestly due to the lack of having any reasonable place to source it. Also, with the door panel shapes, screw holes, etc it would be very difficult to do the door in one solid sheet which really is necessary in something like MLV.

Yea, I get that. It is hard to source locally and shipping is pretty hefty most places. If you ever are interested, I found some on EBAY that seems to be much cheaper than anyone else.MLV ACOUSTIC SOUND PROOFING VINYL TO REDUCE NOISE(135SF | eBay

Give it a look over if you're interested.

adding sound deadening to the outer panels like that will make them much more prone to denting

Luckily I don't park in many places where that can happen. This is also just a daily driver for me, so I am honestly not too worried about little dings etc. Worst case scenario, I have a friend who owns a body shop if I can't pop whatever dents may occur out.

Not sure as of right now. It will honestly depend on if I go active or not.

Active I will probably run Dayton Reference Mids & one of Seas or Scanspeak Tweets.

If I go passive I will just pick up one of DLS or Morel's setups.

Alright guys, sorry for the lack of updates. I will have some more of the log coming soon. I picked up an air compressor last night and will be purchasing a large tip HVLP gun tonight or tomorrow. I have a gallon of Second Skin Audio's Spectrum that I plan on spraying the inside of the wheel wells with.

I have previous experience with this product and I am a large fan of it. It is much easier to get into places with than mat and all you have to do is mask semi-carefully. Applied in 2-3 layers it as if not more effective than the dampening mat I am currently using.

Depending on how it lays out I may pick up some more to do the underside of the vehicle as well as the inside.
