Sport Fit Rear speakers

While wating in my car the other day I adjusted the fader to play only the rear speakers. It sounded really bad. I check and both speakers are working they just sound really bad compaired to the front. Is this normal or is my stereo on the fritz?

Do the tweeters work when the rear only speakers are selected? Without the tweeters the sound would suffer.

No the tweeters do not work while the fader is adjusted to the rear. But the Bass is suffering as well. Can anyone run out to their sport and see if their's is doing the same thing?

I Experienced the same thing. But I had the EQ on "Beats". If you switch the EQ over to "Normal" the rear sppeakers sound much better. It's strange how the radio has these presets that change the properties of the sound, but you can't fine tune them manually. The only thing you can do is adjust bass and treble.

Keep it on Normal. Theres no added benefit to using any of those other modes except to simulate a HALL or a low ceiling jazz club. All of which is useless. I have my bass set to 0, and treble to +3.

I'm not really a big bass fan. I'm more of an treb fan. My bass is -2 and my treb is +5 and my eq is set on beats i believe. and my fade in the front is +2.
Its sounds fine to me, but I'll check later on today when I go out if there are any difference in the rear with the same setting but changing the fade to rear.

Ok just tested my rear speaker and it seems fine to me. Mine's a US model Fit, by the way.

my stereo settings are:

eq: groove
bass: -2
treb: +6
bal: 0
fad front: +2
SVC: 0 (off)
volume: 28

I set my rear the same settings the same as above but changed the fade to the rear. It sounds good with a little bass (depending on music and how clear itis if its CD-R or MP3 format) and treb. just missing are the tweeters.

but other than that mine sounds fine, your speakers could be blown or could be the quality of music recorded onto cd....??

I can't say much....unless I'm there to trouble shoot it...

I have a feeling the rear speakers are garbage. Like paper whizzer cone style. They sound terrible. The front components sound decent. I plan on putting in some rear speakers that can output some bass.

my settings are groove, bass +1, Treb +4 and Fader R +2.... i use it with my skyfi2 99% of the time.... satellite radio SQ sucks but this setting enhances it a lot artificially

I had posted a comment about replacing my OEM radio and 2 speakers for now on my 07 fit. I have serious doubt that Honda made great changes in the speakers they are using in the fit models. I have never seen more crappy made speakers than those installed factory in my Fit sport! cheap plastic construction with bonded plastic with some foam type material for movement also glued. The reat magnets are the size of a quarter across and maybe an inch deep. Scoache products makes an adapter to put where the crap speaker clipped into the door and will hold 6 1/2 inch speakers I would suggest some with not to large power requirements(read smaller magnets) so you wont have to trim the metal in the doors to clear. I installed 40oz magnets high quality speakers and yes had to cut metal a bit.
