My Stealthish Install w/pics
Hello,
This is my first post, but I've been reading posts here for several months. i finished my stereo install and thought I would share my results with everyone here. I also want to thank everyone here on the FitFreak forums for posting install logs and tips; it really helped me a lot.
Here it is:
2007 Sport
Kenwood KDC-X995
DLS RM6.2
JL 8W1v2
DLS CA-41 (for active components)
Rockford Fosgate T400-4 (bridged stereo for subs)
Seats Down
Without the Cover
Behind the Scenes
I know the wires are messy, but they're hidden and secure. The hinge works well with the carpet on; I just didn't take any pics of it in action. The floor was effectively raised about 6 inches, and it still holds a lot of weight. I can crawl around on it. Doesn't look great with the seats down, but if I put the seats down, I'll probably have lots of stuff back there to sort of mask the funky look of the false floor.
Head unit is in stock location with a Metra kit, and the components are in stock locations without the tweeter grills. Front doors and spare tire well are Dynamatted. Rear speakers are not used, and the head unit's internal amp is off. I might add an eq later; above the Rockford amp.
Hope you guys like it. Any questions, just ask.
