The trick is to recline your backseats.
They back up about only an inch maximum, but that is what you need to make it fit perfectly.

Make sure the front seats are all the way forward too...

You can recline the backseats???

I usually get this done by pushing the fron seat foward - it's TIGHT, but it works...
But... by all the way forward I mean ALL the way - if it locks onto position, it's too far back to recline flat.

It is not a true 'recline.'
It only goes backward about 1 inch to clear the way for the front seat's recline.

OK here is an easy step by step way to do it:

1. Move front seats all the way forward

2. Pull the lever on the back seat and instead of lifting the bottom of the seat, push the seat back and you will find it will recline about 1 inch.

3. Recline the front seats until you are in refresh mode.

NOTE: If you find that they do not fit, try pulling the lever on the back seats again and lift up the bottom of the seats a little bit and recline the front seats and put them both down at the same time. That will ensure a snug fit.

The other key I found is dont forget to remove the headrest from the front seat.

They are all correct. When you recline the backseat you will notice that the bottom portion of the seat will retract slightly to give that extra bit of space you need to put the seat down all the way.

I had my Fit for 2 months and then another friend of mine who bought a BOM fit sport showed me that the rear seats recline a couple of inches! Much more comfortable!
