Clazzios+Protectant == Ok?

Hi,

Last week I had Black/Black/Black Clazzios installed into my PMM
2012 Fit Sport.

I am wondering about maintenance of the rascals.

I have read (here ) that all you need to do is wipe with a
damp towel occasionally.

I have also read that vinyl contains plasticiziers that migrates to
the surface and once the plasticizers leave, the vinyl become stiff
and will become fragile. ( cracked dashboards?).

Will using a non glossy protectant help slow the migration?
(Something like 303 Aerospace or Prima Nero).

I tend to keep autos for a long time...I sold my 15 year old
Ford Explorer prior to buying the Fit.

Am I worrying too much?

PS:
Once upon a time ( late 80's ) I was doing some summer work
at Dryden NASA near Lancaster CA. ( That is high desert country ).

I had rented a for sale house and I noticed that the gentleman next
door had an immaculate older Ford.

I wandered over to him while he was cleaning the Ford and noticed
that he was rubbing the dash down with Noxzema face cream!

He said he had been using it for years and it certainly looked like
it was doing the job.

Any takers?

Jerry
